August on Tap

August was a whirlwind here at Tantrick Brewing & Stillhouse, where did summer go?! We kicked things off with some exciting new monthly features that you all couldn’t get enough of! The Blueberry Mojito and Lavender Martini were instant favorites, so much so that we ran out of the fresh mint we’d been growing right on our patio. On the food side, cheese curds and chicken wings became the star of the menu, and we loved seeing how quickly they caught on!
The month also brought some changes around the neighborhood and in our own space! We welcomed a brand-new small business right next door - always a win for downtown Allegan, and said goodbye to two summer traditions: Fork in the Road food trucks and Rollin’ on the River. Both have been such fun parts of the season, and while it’s sad to see them wrap up, we’re already looking forward to their return next year!
One of the biggest highlights of August was our very first Tantrick Field Trip! Fifty of you joined us for a bus ride to Comerica Park to cheer on the Detroit Tigers, and to make the trip even better, we packed three kegs to enjoy along the way. It was one of those unforgettable days full of laughter, cheers, and plenty of beer!
Back at the brewery, we rolled out a new POS system that’s already making life easier for both our staff and customers! Change can sometimes be a headache, but this switch has been smooth and efficient - exactly what we hoped for! We also added two new beers to the tap list: Tropical Storm Inigo, a NEIPA full of juicy flavor, and Krispy Behavior, a light, crisp Mexican lager that’s been a perfect fit for the summer heat!
Toward the end of the month, we hit the road again, this time as a team, for the 10th annual Burning Foot Beer Festival! It’s one of our favorite events, and we’ve been lucky enough to attend six of those ten years. With more than 80 breweries represented, it was a fantastic celebration of craft beer and community, and we were proud to be part of it!
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been working hard to build a strong kitchen team, and we’re getting closer to reaching that goal every week. Our new Fall/Winter Menu launches near the end of September, make sure to keep an eye out for that!
As summer comes to an end it reminds us once again how lucky we are to be part of this little corner of Allegan! Thanks to everyone who has been supporting us, we can’t wait to see what September brings, cheers! 🍻
